Car 41 – 1971 Ford Mustang Convertible 7 Litre V8

I bought my car 15 years ago now, I had always wanted a Ford Mustang convertible so when I started my business I said to myself that as soon as I had enough money I would treat myself to the car I had always wanted!

She was the first car I went too see, I saw it, drove it, loved it, bought it! In hindsight I should’ve taken a mechanic as I managed to buy the worst fully restored car in the history of mankind!:) It took me nearly 10 years to put everything that was wrong with it right but I have learnt a lot about cars in the process:)

Now I have an awesome car that looks great and runs great and always puts a massive smile on my face whenever I drive it. I love the long sleek lines of the car as it really suits a convertible and the colour really stands out. One of the main things that drew me too the car was the massive 429 cubic inch 7 litre V8 which is huge… and thirsty 🙂 She is about as economical as a Tiger tank 🙂

Nearly everyone on seeing her says it’s a lovely colour and we heard it coming from down the road. I love doing weddings, as it’s an excuse to drive my car and get to meet people on their special day! Also, sometimes we get too burn a little rubber too 🙂 The car is a real head turner and the questions I get asked most are ‘How many miles per gallon does it do?’ and ‘Can we see the engine?’
